FISHERSVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The schools in the Wilson complex were temporarily placed on secure status Thursday because of a police chase.
The Augusta County Sheriff's Office was trying to serve multiple arrest warrants, including felony violation of probation, on Christopher R. Hutchinson around noon. The 35-year-old Staunton man ran away from deputies. The schools were put on alert as a precautionary measure.
Deputies took Hutchinson into custody in the wooded area near Truitt Lane at 12:40 p.m.
He was taken to Augusta Health for an injury he suffered during the pursuit.
He is being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail.
