CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA held a sweet collaborated fundraiser this weekend in Charlottesville.
The CASPCA and Duck Donuts teamed up to raise money for the shelter.
Duck Donuts had a special called the Fifi and Fido specialty donuts and 50 percent of the money raised during the weekend fundraiser went to CASPCA.
"This fundraiser opportunity means the world to us, it really does make a difference in the lives of the homeless animals at our shelter so we really appreciate the support of our community, we love to see people come out, get donuts, meet the dogs. It really does impact their day and their lives if they were to get adopted," said Sierra Stevens with the CASPCA.
On Saturday during the fundraiser, CASPCA had an event where it brought a couple of the shelter dogs to play and socialize and one of them even got adopted.
